1/3/14

I probably should have started keeping a blog or journal a long time ago, but oh well.  Better late than never.  Nose got cold last night, but that was it.  Sunday night should be a little more interesting.  Monday is supposed to be so cold that the governor cancelled school.  A good chunk of that'll be wind chill, but I'll have to add some blankets all the same.

  1. Rudy,
I have been following your story in the News Tribune, very impressive. As a fellow camping enthusiast and avid winter camper I understand your drive to spend a year outside. And well some probably think it to be a chore I know living outside when you are prepared is very enjoyable. A few years back I spent a Minnesota winter living in a yurt and really enjoyed the challenge. I wanted to pass along some informational resources that might be of interest to you.

  2. Fun to watch your progress! Thanks for the blog. I like goals like this that show what can be done. And the entire learning process about what works in the cold.

  6. Good luck on your adventure! Please post more pictures of your structure. We got the sub-zero temperatures here in Ohio this week and I was humbled by your feat when I walked for five minutes outside.
